Collect for Today

Almighty God,

whose Son revealed in signs and miracles

the wonder of your saving presence:

renew your people with your heavenly grace,

and in all our weakness sustain us by your mighty power;

through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,

in the unit of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.

PRAYER SUGGESTIONS FOR THIS WEEK!

(from the Churches Together Website)

Mon

      Gracious God, we gather, united in praise, longing for heavenly greatness in earthly lives: serving one another in the way of Jesus, finding the overflowing joy of unity, and so to scatter, united in service.

Tue

God of hope, you are patient with your Church and with me. Maybe I too will wait – disconcerting though this may be – and risk the change, and the pain, that may come as I wait to be free and released into your unity.

Wed

  God of consolation, who changed suffering into a sign of victory, unite us round the cross of Jesus, who obtained salvation for us through his obedience.  Show us how we can help those who suffer to experience your living presence, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Thu

Lord God, help us in our everyday struggle with adversity.  May the Holy Spirit give us strength and wisdom so that, following you, we may overcome evil with good, and division with reconciliation.

Fri

   Loving and merciful God, speak peace in our hearts and minds that we may make peace in the world: breaching divisions to bring reconciliation, bringing justice to bear where prejudice prevails, bearing your grace in and through our lives.

A PRAYING COMMUNITY… A small group of people in church are spending time praying for the needs of individuals. All requests are treated confidentially and only shared with the group and the ministry team. If you would like prayer support, for any reason, please contact Margaret R (0755-2762004) or Lucy (358156).

O God, the Creator and Giver of all good things;

Thank you for the gifts you have given us through the years.

Bless our vision, and pour your wisdom and guidance upon us.

May all that we do inspire and serve the community,

And witness to your love and presence amongst us.

Grant us the spirit of faith and generosity,

that all our endeavours may be in your name and to your glory.

This we pray through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen
